Peter O’Brien

Peter trained as a horticulturist at Hawkesbury Agricultural College and gained hands-on experience growing potatoes, beans, and asparagus in NSW. He began his career as an extension specialist with NSW DPI before moving into supply chain management at PepsiCo, where he sourced potatoes across Australia, New Zealand, and internationally.

Most recently, he led PepsiCo’s Asia-Pacific agronomy team. With deep knowledge of the Australian potato industry, Peter is committed to applying local and global research to drive industry growth. He now serves as the national co-ordinator of the PotatoLink project, overseeing all communication and extension activities.
