Jane builds connections between CSIRO researchers and government and industry stakeholders to translate science into solutions that grow market access, protect biosecurity and enhance the sustainability of Australia's horticulture industries. Jane co-leads a national CSIRO-led research collaboration supported by Hort Innovation that aims to modernise how plant biosecurity risks are assessed and managed, applying systems thinking and risk science to tackle market access challenges.
