PMA Australia-New Zealand (PMA A-NZ) are celebrating industry excellence with the announcement of the inaugural Tech Innovation Award.
The search begins for Australia and New Zealand’s most successful fresh produce innovator, with entries for the PMA A-NZ Tech Innovation Award 2020 opening today (4 December).
Presented by PMA A-NZ, the Tech Innovation Award acknowledges businesses that have implemented technology focussed innovation in the Australian or New Zealand fresh produce sector. In its inaugural year, the award is judged on each innovator’s ability to develop and execute an effective initiative that addresses key challenges or opportunities within the industry.
The Award is open to any individual or team and can come from any part of the value chain including seed companies, growers, packers, processors, shippers, importers and exporters, wholesalers and retailers, foodservice, government agencies, associated suppliers to the industry, and many more – any stakeholder from seed to shelf is eligible.
“This is a great opportunity to shine a light on organisations in the industry that are leading the way with new and innovative technologies”, explains Darren Keating, PMA A-NZ CEO. “PMA A-NZ has long been an advocate of leading innovations, and we’re proud to present this award that recognises companies advancing the industry.”
The award will be presented at the Hort Connections 2020 in Brisbane on 15-17 June 2020.
Self-nominations and nominations by third parties are welcome and must be received by 24 April 2020.
