Jo van Niekerk, National Sales Manager at Boomaroo Nurseries, has over 25 years of experience in both ornamental and vegetable production horticulture. With a bachelor degree in Agricultural Science, Jo’s experience ranges from potting mix and fertilisers, cut flower markets, ornamental nursery production and produce marketing, through to her real passion, working with Australian vegetable growers to enhance their businesses through the use of Boomaroo's premium vegetable seedlings.

Jo is an Executive for AUSVEG VIC, the state peak advocacy body for vegetable and potato growers, and also heads the steering committee for VegNET activities in Western and Central Victoria and the Peninsula.

She is a passionate advocate of women in agriculture and horticulture, as seen in Boomaroo's sponsorship of Women in Horticulture events and awards at both state and national level.
