Matt Moran is a renowned Australian chef, restaurateur, farmer and author. Over his 40 year career in food, he has run some of the countries most celebrated restaurants, hosted popular TV shows, written best-selling cookbooks, and won awards across his endeavours.
Across his restaurants, Matt has long championed seasonal, locally grown produce, with a food philosophy grounded in simplicity, sustainability and letting quality produce shine. From closely working with growers to shaping menus around what’s in season, that connection to Australian produce has been central to the way he cooks and does business.
Sustainability and seasonality are at the core of his food ethos, and his latest ventures put the spotlight on food security. Last year he joined forces with OzHarvest Ventures to relaunch Good and Fugly, a NSW produce delivery enterprise supporting local Australian growers and reducing food waste. Matt is also a partner of the Saveful App, the Australian digital platform inspiring everyday Australians with recipes and tips to use what veggies and pantry staples they have on hand, building skills and reducing food waste.
