Shane has been involved in polymer applications in farming systems since the early 1990’s while working as an irrigation scientist. During this time, he investigated the role of polymers in altering the movement and retention of water through the soil profile. This led to the undertaking postgraduate studies in the impact of polyacrylamides on infiltration of water of varying quality into Mallee sands at Adelaide University.
